School Bus Pick up / Drop Off at St Andrew’s Drive, Cumbernauld

 

We have been informed that North Lanarkshire Council has received several reports of dangerous parking at our school bus pick up/drop off point on St Andrew’s Drive, Cumbernauld.  This includes parking on pavements, parking near junctions and across driveways.

 

To ensure the safety of all our children and young people, please park responsibly when dropping off or collecting your child.  Ideally park a few streets away where is safe to do so to avoid creating congestion.  I would also ask that your child considers the privacy of local residents in this area when waiting for the bus and uses the designated areas near the bus stop.

 

North Lanarkshire Council have arranged for regular checks to be carried out into the operation of this route. Road safety officers will also visit the site to observe and assess as will Police Scotland if required.
