Physical Education – P.E

In line with NLC guidance, all pupils are entitled to two hours of physical education every week within class time. Lessons will take place both indoors and outdoors throughout the year. We are returning to standards of attitude and behaviours held by the school prior to Covid and appreciate your support to achieve this. We believe improved standards leads to happier children and even better attainment.

For indoor activities pupils in P2- P7 should come to school dressed for P.E. Can we remind parents and carers of our expectations here. (No football tops or strips of any kind should be worn to school or crop tops). No jewellery should be worn or acrylic nails for health and safety reasons. Children will be required to remove earrings on P.E days.

For outdoor activities pupils should wear their school uniform and outdoor trainers. Rain jackets, hats and gloves should be worn when appropriate.

Swimming– Primary 6 pupils attending swimming lessons have been advised to come to school dressed in their P.E kit with costume underneath where appropriate.

We respectfully ask for your support to ensure that all pupils are dressed appropriately in line with this guidance. Thank you also, to our new P1 parents. The children looked very smart in their white tops and black shorts/joggers/leggings on their first P.E day.
