Yellow Walk

Yesterday morning we went to Strathclyde Park to participate in St. Andrews Hospice’s Wear Yellow Walk. All the primary 7’s went on a coach that took us to Strathclyde Park.

When we arrived we got given a yellow hat and a bottle of water and then we started to walk.  After a while we went and had a snack beside the water on the rocks. On our next stop we went to the park. All the primary seven boys were on a tyre swing while the girls pushed them. Then we went on the runner.

While we were walking, we saw old roman baths and we climbed on the rocks that use to be a bath. We played a game called last man standing, if you put your feet on the floor/little stones then you are out!

After playing in the old baths we had lunch, we had lots fun at lunch like playing in the park but when we sat down to eat the rain came on a light bit but that didn’t stop us from having fun! The funniest part of lunch was when Bobby threw football at Garv and Garv threw it away and it accidentally hit a boy called Jake in the cheek but he was okay and we ended up playing in the park together. After we had lunch and played around a bit we finished the 6K walk.

At the end we got given a Caramel Wafer, a Banana and small bottle of water. Since it was Mark’s birthday Georgina got the DJ to give him a shout out and sing happy birthday. After the DJ sang happy birthday we all partied around and sang. Yesterday was amazing and we liked it even more because it was for a good cause.
