Writing

Riley – We were writing an autobiography this week.

Brielle – It is something that you do your birthday, your age and your family.

Jennie = Autobiography is about us. To write a good autobiography we have to write about your family and then you need to do capital letters and full stops in the right place.

Our learning in Art

This week we have been learning about Lowry and his art work. This is what we have been doing.

Conor – We traced some of his art work. His people look like stick men.

Jay – We were painting houses like Lowry.

Katie – We have been learning how to build houses with the blocks and how to do the background, add detail and do stick people.

Riley – We were smudging the pastels to look like sky and the ground.

Brielle – We have been putting blocks onto the piece of paper up the way and across the way.

Atholl – We used shiny paper and normal paper to make rockets. We cut out circles, triangles and squares and stuck them on too.

Leona – You have green bags and coins and you have to work out with your partner how many coins there are altogether.

Emma – I am good at counting the coins.

Jenny – We have been doing Big Maths Beat that and there are tricky sums.

Welcome to Primary Two’s Class Blog!

Primary Two and Miss Kinloch have had a fantastic start to the new school year.

We have just started our new topic and it is Energy.

We have been doing lots of Math work already using Big Maths and Active Maths.

Primary Two have created their own Class Charter and are taking on weekly responsibilities using our Busy Bee Wall.

Already we have been moving seats and changing our partners so that we get to work with different people.

We are looking forward to working hard this term and learning lots of new things!
