Our First Class Blog

Hello and welcome to the Primary 2/3 class blog. We hope that you will like all of the hard work we have been doing this week…

This week we have been working very hard revising our sounds. We have been working in groups using Clicker 5 on the smartboard to practise our sounds.

In our maths, we have been learning all about addition and subtraction. For this we have been moving to different stations and completing lots of tasks. We have also been revising odd and even numbers.

We are learning all about the topic When Gran was a Girl. This week we went back in time to school in Gran’s day. We all had the chance to try on the dunce hat. We all found it very funny, but we would not have found it funny in those days…especially getting the belt! We wrote down all the the feelings we would have and then acted them out.

Josh found the dunce hat funny!!

We would be terrified to get the belt!!!!

In P.E, we have been learning gymnastics. We can do forward, pencil AND a backwards rolls! We were also learning how to balance on different parts of the body.

Thank you for reading our first blog, we hope to have many more for you to enjoy!

  1. Wow, what a busy class!

Primary 1 is learning about addition too. Maybe you could come and show us what you know?

Looks like you had a good time pretending to be at school when Gran was a girl. I would be terrified to get the belt too!

I am looking forward to reading about your learning over the year.

  2. Another busy week Primary 2/3 and lots of new things you have been learning too. I was very impressed with the sounds you knew when I was in last week. Using the smart board looks great fun.

I don’t think I would have liked the dunce hat or the belt either.

Keep up the hard work and I look forward to reading more on your blog.

  3. Lovely to see what you are all up to in class. Learning about the old days in school sounds very interesting.

  4. A very busy class indeed! I bet you didn’t realise how much you learn in one week at school. I am so proud of you all.

  5. I really enjoyed this blog Miss Cameron.

I hope we get another blog up soon and I really enjoyed the one we did today.

    Max
