S3  History pupils participated in the Poppy Scotland ‘ Letters Home’ competition last term. This competition commemorated the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme. Pupils were asked to write a letter home as though they were soldiers fighting at the front and were encouraged to think about sharing their experiences, emotions and describing the environment they were in, as well as the impact of their words on the letter’s recipient.

The class recently received certificates marking their participation. Well done everyone.
