The youngest class in Banton Primary!
As part of our topic work this term we will be learning all about Banton! We will be exploring the local area and finding out what there is to see and do.
We started off by exploring one of our favourite places; the park! We used our iPads to take photographs of all the different pieces of equipment before trying them out for ourselves. We had a lovely time 😊. Next, we will use our photos to create some beautiful art work about our park.
We’ve been having lots of number fun in Primary 1/2 this week! While the Primary 2’s practised ordering 2-digit and even some 3-digit numbers, our Primary 1’s have been learning about counting and number formation. Here we are practising the number 3 😀 Around the tree, around the tree, that’s how we make number three!
Primary 1\2 have been busy learning about France. We learned that in France they speak another language called French. We are really looking forward to learning some new French words!
We had lots of sticky fun using tissue paper and paper squares to make our very own French flags 🇫🇷 🇫🇷 🇫🇷 
After a long and lovely summer holiday we have bounced back to school with smiles on our faces and one million stories to share, most of them about wobbly teeth!
For some of us it is our first time at school! Woohoo! For the rest of us, we have returned a little older and a little wiser! Also woohoo!

Happy Valentine’s Day! It is the day of love, and what better way to celebrate than with an Activity Grid full of Maths, Literacy and pizza!
I think the only things that didn’t freeze last week were the giant brains of the Banton Bairns. I am continually impressed by the hard work and resilience of the children (and their families).
In the meantime, Cupid has delivered a weekly timetable below and the attached grid. Back to normal(!) with three Teams Meetings this week and lovely Literacy, Maths, Health & Wellbeing and Other activities for each day of the week! Try and take part in our Daily Challenges as well – it’s a great chance for the children to show their creativity.
