Be Helpful At Harvest Time

Be Helpful At Harvest Time

Traditionally, Harvest is a time for communities to help one another. This year we would like to help some of our elderly community in Banton by giving them a gift from our harvest table. We need your help to do this.

To encourage pupils to think about giving to others, as part of homework, we are asking for a donation of one item for the harvest table, each week, if able to.

At the end of the collection, a selection of pupils will help to bag the items, and give these out at the Harvest Service or deliver in the community.

Week beginning Item to bring in:

Week Beginning 3/9 tin of soup

Week Beginning 10/9 tin of beans

Week Beginning 17/9 tin of custard

Week Beginning 24/9 tin of fruit

Week Beginning 1/10 packet of biscuits

Week Beginning 8/10 Pasta and sauce in a packet or tin of meat

We would be delighted if you could suggest someone who would be happy to receive a gift from our table. Please phone or email the school. We will also visit and ask our local pensioners who meet on a Wednesday.
