P1-3 SSPCA Visit
P1 to P3 enjoyed a visit from the SSPCA on Friday. They learned about how litter can be dangerous for animals and that it is important to research a pet’s needs before getting one.
P1 to P3 enjoyed a visit from the SSPCA on Friday. They learned about how litter can be dangerous for animals and that it is important to research a pet’s needs before getting one.
Pupils in P2-P7 enjoyed their first Leadership Academy in Fairtrade and cooking with Ms Whiston and Miss Lalmy. They learnt about the parts of the orange, they got to taste it and then they juiced them. The upper primary school pupils were very responsible working with their younger partners supporting them with how to use all the equipment. We also looked at being safe in a kitchen and where the
Primary 2 pupils earned an extra playtime due to their super listening and sitting in assembly and in class last week ! Well done everybody they had a lovely day to enjoy the sunshine 🙂 .
Primary 2 loved having their parents and guardians come in to class at our Open Morning last week! It was a fantastic turnout and they were very glad to have some help designing their Christmas Cards. Thank you for your support! Miss Lalmy

P3 peer assessed Road Safety Jingles that had been created and recited by P7. We listened carefully for rhymes and found loads! We liked how Macy rhymed with Safety and we heard a few road and toad rhymes.
Here are some of the excellent dioramas that P5 made for their homework task. They have really enjoyed learning about rainforests and talked confidently about their dioramas to their cooperative learning group. Some have moving parts and one even has sound so that you feel like you are in a rainforest! Next stop in our changing planet is the polar regions, bbrrrr!
Primary 5 were delighted to win the Head Teacher’s Best Class Award for last week (8/9/17) and enjoyed an extra playtime as their reward today!
Here are our Values Heroes who were designed to help the children remember our new school values as part of our Vision and Values statement. We will now be presenting certificates at our weekly assemblies for children who have shown that they are working hard to be the type of person our values promote. Today, we held our Summer Awards Ceremony. Two children from every class were chosen for a Sarah Warnock Award for endeavour throughout the year. Our Primary 7s entertained us with their ‘mash up’ song and were presented with an Uddingston Grammar tie from the Parent Council. It was an emotional day! Congratulations to all of our award winners.
