To celebrate World Book Day P7 enjoyed paired reading with either their P1 buddy or a P2 pupil. Well done P7! The younger pupils really enjoyed this!
Primary 7 enjoyed a visit from the local Fire Brigade who taught them how to administer CPR in an emergency. The children paid very close attention and were able to demonstrate their learning by using the blow up dolls provided. Each group did very well and some very unusual names were chosen for their doll!
P7 have been enjoying Shinty lessons from Mr Thomson of Uddingston Grammar. They have been comparing the rules between Shinty and Hockey.
Primary 3 had a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day. We took part in a book scavenger hunt, played a guessing book character game, read our stories and listened to Mrs Devine read to us. Today was the end of our Famous Scots Interdisciplinary Learning Topic. Each co-operative learning group presented their Powerpoint presentations on a Famous Scot of their choice. The Powerpoints were outstanding. Each group managed to include some facts, photos and even used creative transitions between slides. We discussed who our favourite Famous Scots were and how they affected our lives and lives of others. Well done everyone!
Today the boys and girls had a great day dressed up as their favourite character from a book for our rescheduled World Book Day. See if you can guess who they are!Some children even came in their pyjamas and brought their favourite bedtime story!
