P7 Paired Reading for World Book Day

Primary 7 enjoyed a visit from the local Fire Brigade who taught them how to administer CPR in an emergency. The children paid very close attention and were able to demonstrate their learning by using the blow up dolls provided. Each group did very well and some very unusual names were chosen for their doll!
Pupils have learnt how to work in small groups building a tower out of plastic cups and plates. Easy you may think but they also had to do it in silence and quickly learnt how to give directions using body language and hand signals. Everyone did a fabulous job in completing the task! The class are also becoming experts at trying out the different massage techniques on each other and
Here are the children enjoying more water activities followed by some free time in the games room and on the football pitches.
Primary 2 have been learning about new massage techniques during their weekly Relax Kids sessions. They also practiced mindfulness to help their emotional wellbeing. Look how relaxed and engaged everyone is!
Last week the Fairtrade and Cooking Leadership Academy group were making traditional Scottish pancakes. Pupils had to carefully measure out the ingredients, use strong muscles to whisk them all together and then cook them on a frying pan.
