Secondary Transition

Pupils normally transfer from primary to secondary between the ages of 11.5 and 12.5 so that they will have the opportunity to complete at least four years of secondary education. Pupils from St Serf’s primary usually transfer to St. Margaret’s High School, Airdrie.

Throughout their experience at Second Level (P5-7) our pupils attend various events and lessons at St. Margaret’s High School and in their final year, our pupils take part in blocks of transition lessons, in both establishments, delivered by Secondary staff .
