Homework

Homework should help pupils to become more independent and develop the four capacities of a Curriculum for Excellence.
Pupils should have the opportunity to work on a range of tasks which will involve reinforcement of classwork, personal choice, ICT and development of research and social skills.

Parents are asked to co-operate with the school in supervising homework and making sure that written work is neat and well presented.

Your child will be given homework on a regular basis. This may take the form of reading, learning spelling, tables, numeracy facts, prayers or poetry. Some research for topic work or handwriting practice may also be given.
Homework is meaningful so that your child will find it a pleasant and enjoyable experience, take time over it. H0mework should not be a confrontation between you and your  child and we advise that you complete tasks little and often.

Homework is allocated by each individual class teacher.
