St Ignatius' PS

Week Beginning 7th May

Hope you all had a lovely Bank Holiday, it was so nice to get some good weather for a change.

Staff were very busy on the in-service day – Self-Evaluation and Moderation were our themes. Most staff also attended a few sessions at the Learning Festival being run over two days by North Lanarkshire Council.

Thursday – P1 & P1/2 children will be taking part in the Teddy Bear’s Picnic. This is a super fund raising event for St Andrew’s Hospice, please try to support this if you can.

Friday – Forest School takes place as normal this week. Please make your child wears appropriate clothing if he/she is taking part in this.

Friday – Thanksgiving Mass for Confirmation takes place in the school at 1.30pm. All parents, family and friends are welcome to join us for this celebration and a cup for tea afterwards.

Sunday – First Communion Preparation mass at 10.00am in St Ignatius Church

Pupil Equity Fund – Please find a letter in your child’s bag regarding this. We have outlined last year’s planning and spending. We are now asking for any suggestions for this year’s budget. Please be as creative as you can as we are looking for some ideas for this year.
