SSPCA Visit
All classes had a visit from an SSPCA Education Officer today. They shared with us about their job and how we can also help to protect and look after our pets and animals.
Everyone enjoyed the visits.
Primary 7 Road Safety Performance
Primary 7 thoroughly enjoyed their Road Safety performance yesterday afternoon.
The performance emphasised the importance of staying safe when walking to school. The characters in the play showed how easy it was to give in to peer pressure and act silly near traffic. The children soon realised how silly behaviour can have a huge impact on their lives – for all the wrong reasons.
Why not ask us what we’ve learned?
Book Swap – Primary 7 Room 7
Similarly to our Readathon, Primary 7 were excellent role models during our Book Swap activity, which we shared with
The children read beautifully to their younger peers and really modelled how fun reading can be. The younger children were so engaged during this experience, and lots of happy faces left the hall.
Primary 7 Room 7 Readathon – Book Week
Primary 7, Room 7 thoroughly enjoyed sharing their Readathon time with Primary 1. We took some time to work with our Buddies, helping them to read and enjoy lots of different books. We asked questions about the characters, settings and plots and encouraged the Primary 1 children to read as much of the book as possible, helping them with the more tricky words if necessary.
We also read some of our own, more challenging texts to allow the children to see what we get up to in Primary 7!
Have a look at our photos to see how much fun we had!
Burns Supper
Room 5 and Room 7 hosted a Burns Supper on Friday 29th January 2016. We had a great time reciting poems and singing songs from the famous Robert Burns. Check out our photos!
Getting Fit in Room 5!
At the start of term Room 5 created their very own new year resolution. The main theme which emerged was the desire to get fitter and healthier. As a class we have been discussing how we can do this by changing our diet and exercising more regularly. This wasn’t enough however… Room 5 wanted to make sure this was having an impact. We decided as a class to carry out a fitness test and record our scores. We will repeat this fitness test at the end of term and hopefully our scores increase! Check out some of our photos.

Pantomime Lunch Arrangements
Our trip to the pantomime is on Friday 27th November. We will be leaving school around 12noon and so will need to have an early lunch.
To make things as easy as possible pupils should order their lunch using the attached form – Panto Lunch Form.
Blue Band/ Snack-to-go lunches should also be ordered using the Snack-to-go form.
All other pupils who do not wish to order a school lunch should bring a packed lunch to school. No crossing patrol is available at this time.
Many Thanks
