The Census on 27 March is a fantastic example of gathering primary information and its associated strengths and weaknesses. The Scottish Executive will use the information to set expenditure budgets on housing, hospitals, schools and other community facilities for future years. When the results of the Census 2011 are published it will be used by other organisations  to help make business decisions.
