Picasso Portraits

Inspired by the work of Pablo Picasso, 3/4 created their own abstract portraits using oil pastels in hot and cold colours.

I can create and present work using the visual elements of line, shape, form, colour, tone, pattern and texture. EXA 1-03a

I can respond to the work of artists and designers by discussing my thoughts and feelings. I can give and accept constructive comment on my own and others’ work. EXA 1-07a


School Grounds Development

P3/4 helped Alan Kain to plan out our new garden area. They used a variety of different ways to measure length and recorded them in a plan.

MNU 1-11a     I can estimate how long or heavy an object is, or what amount it holds, using everyday things as a guide, then measure or weigh it using appropriate instruments and units.

Lunchtime Dance Club

We are extremely grateful to our volunteer, Colette who has given up her own time to take our lunchtime dance club. The children are enjoying learning a dance which they are going to perform at the annual ‘Dance Together’ event in March.

I am becoming aware of different features of dance and can practise and perform steps, formations and short dance. EXA 1-10a

I have taken part in dance from a range of styles and cultures, demonstrating my awareness of the dance features. EXA 2-10a
