World Book Day – Competitions galore!

STILL TIME TO ENTER – DEADLINE 11 MARCH

World Book Day on Thurs 4 March is a celebration of books and reading, through providing the opportunity for every child to have a book of their own. Vouchers for this at school reception or use the electronic voucher.

To celebrate this important day, there are 3 Library competitions you can enter:

Competition 1decorate a boiled egg as a book character (it is nearly Easter after all!) – send a photo of your creation to Mrs Vaughan

Competition 2 – have a go at the foreign book cover quiz – guess the book title in English from the foreign covers. Bonus points if you know which language each cover is in!

Competition 3 – take a photo of yourself reading to your pet! Even if the “pet” is a wee brother or sister or cousin! Send photos to Mrs Vaughan

Enter one or more for the chance of winning a prize! Deadline for entries is 10 March. Good luck!

Winner!

Thank you to those who entered the Burns Night competition. So many correct answers!  All names were put in the hat and Mrs Vaughan’s daughter pulled one name out at random.

The winner is…. Ben in S2 (Mrs Vaughan has emailed you to let you know!) Your prize will be presented as soon as we are back in school.

Well done to Ben but also everyone else who gave it a go.

Look out for more competitions in the coming months!
