It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas
This week we have enjoyed a trip to a local school nursery, we have been busy collecting for our food bank initiative, and we participated in children in need.
We are starting the Christmas season in style with an exploration station set up with jelly, tinsel and all things sparkly!
The children created some Christmas tree inspired artwork and we made a start on decorating the classroom.
Hope everyone enjoys the long weekend. See you all soon for nativity rehearsals.

This week in Primary A
This has been a very fun and eventful week in Primary A. We had our Halloween party, enjoyed sports coaching, a visit to the cafe, and some swimming.
Photographs of the party will follow but for now enjoy a glimpse into what we have explored in class.
Letters have now been sent home to all families regarding the Christmas initiative. We are asking for donations towards the North Ayrshire food bank. The ‘reverse advent calendar’ asks for pupils, staff and families to supply items on a suggested list and beyond to the local community over the festive period. Items are being collected daily from all classes in November and will be presented by early December. All donations will be gratefully recieved.

Spooky sensory time
Hope everyone enjoyed their October holiday. We are so happy to welcome our pupils and staff back. This week we have been carving pumpkins, as promised, and exploring all things spooky. We have made super stretchy sensory slime, flying ghosts and sang along to our favourite Halloween songs. We are very busy preparing for our party next week.
Our official Primary One photograph was printed in the local paper this week. It’s beautiful!
We hope to announce our Christmas initiative shortly. Keep your eyes peeled for more information on how ‘James Mac Gives Back’ and the reverse advent calendar.
Sensory fun
This week we have been enjoying lots of spooky sensory art and all things Halloween themed.
We have made Ghosts for our display, explored skeleton and spider jelly, squirted paint with syringes and got very messy. Great fun was had by all.
We hope you all have a brilliant October break and we look forward to carving pumpkins on our return.
Warmest wishes
Hello from Primary A
Hello from all of us in Primary A. We are very busy getting acquainted with our new pupils and staff after a fabulous Summer break. We hope you all had a great time too. Huge welcome back to everyone.
Our IDL topic this term is based on Scottish Literature and we decided to look at “Chairlie and the Chocolate Works”. Is there any better way to begin school life than by exploring Wully Wonka, the Heedrum Hoodrums, the wonderful factory and all the sweets, smells, colours and tastes that accompany it?? We don’t think so either!
We look forward to sharing our magical experience with you. Here is a little peak into our classroom and how we have prepared for Chairlie Baffie, Granda Joke, Veruca Saut and the gang. We love the sensory elements of the story and have already enjoyed Roald Dahl Day, taste testing, baking, glitter trays, messy play, song time and more.
Warmest wishes x

Releasing our Butterflies
Our Butterflies were released into our sensory garden and what a beautiful day we had for it. Lots of sunshine, smiley faces and surprises. The children are going to miss our “Incredibles” but it was time for them to fly away. We have had a very busy week preparing for our Garden Fayre this week too. Enjoy our photographs.
