Our Librarian – G Gillespie
Greenwood Academy Library is a vibrant learning space for reading and independent study. Pupils are supported by our fantastic Librarian, who is always there to support and encourage.
There are are number of ways the library can support learning from home at this current time. Greenwood Academy has subscribed to Accelerated Reader (AR) and myOn ebooks from Renaissance Learning.
Access to AR and myOn, further information and ‘how to’ videos can be found here.
During Lockdown please keep taking your book quizzes and gaining points. Remember it doesn’t have to be a library book, it can be one of the books you have at home so get raiding all the bookshelves!

Greenwood Academy has subscribed to a new ebook platform myON for use with S1 & S2 (and selected S3 pupils) The platform gives them access to over 5,500 ebooks from home or in school – anywhere they can access the internet. There is a fantastic range of cross curricular text books included and it offers huge potential for home learning and research.
