Term One – Session 25/26
Curriculum Outline – Term 1 CB8
The boys and girls have been settling well into CB8 and managing well with new classroom routines 🙂 We have been working hard on our tray tasks every day and loving going on our weekly community walks. Our topic this term is People Who Help Us. As part of our topic, we have completed lots of activities in class and even had a police woman come in to visit us which was lots of fun!
Term Two – Session 25/26
Curriculum Outline – Term 2 CB8
Lots of fun this term in Classbase 8 as we have enjoyed the Halloween and Christmas fun! In Numeracy, we are looking at 2D and 3D shapes and in Literacy, we are practicing our writing and fine motor skills. Even the bad weather can’t stop our community walks and Outdoor Learning as we have loved our weekly trips to the park and the forest to take part in lots of fun sensory experiences!
Term Three – Session 25/26
This term in Classbase 8, we have had a big focus on our writing. We have been using Colourful Semantics to help us to form sentences and some of us have even been using connectives to uplevel our sentences. We continue to practice our fine motor skills using lots of different activities. In Numeracy, we are looking at the topic of money and learning to recognise coins and use them within our classroom shop. We have turned our classroom into a supermarket and a pizza parlour and had lots of role play fun! Our topic this term was Fairytales. As a class, we read a range of different fairytales and learned to sequence the events from these. Additionally, we used this as a stimulus for a variety of Art, Drama and sensory experiences. We have also been loving Ed from Drake Music coming into class every Friday to sing and play instruments with us – it is the best part of the week!
