Leading Our Learning

On 12th June 2012, a camera crew came to record us leading our learning.  The crew consisted of Sally Fulton, the lady who came to inspect our school in Novemeber last year and a filming expert, Yvonne.  They came beacuse we got an ‘Excellent’ in our inspection report and they wanted to make a dcoumentary about our learning that will be made into a DVD and released to other schools in Scotland in September.

The crew were here the whole day and while they were here, they filmed us taking part in Eco Schools, weeding and planting lettuces with Mrs Lawson, as well as interviewing pupils about their Progress and Achievements booklets, members of staff including Mrs Smith and Mrs Ducrocq about us writing our own reports and two parents about our learning.

Being filmed was really exciting and we really enjoyed the day.  It’s amazing to think that soon, other children from around Scotland will be able to see us at our school in Inveravon.  Sam said, “It was very hard not to keep looking at the camera while we were being filmed, but I am very proud of our small school.”
