Our group is part of the national Mini Vinnies organisation and we come together to form a part of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, which is a voluntary organisation dedicated to tackling poverty in all its forms. Mini Vinnies’ is the name for a St Vincent de Paul Group for primary aged children. We get together to organise and talk about helping others in need within our school community and our local community of Inverclyde. The aim of the our group is to show God’s love to our neighbours who are in need. We show this love, compassion and understanding by giving our friendship, our time and our talents. We use a SEE, THINK, DO plan to recognise people in our community that need help, identify how we can help them and then put it into action. Our main goal is to put a smile on their face and to have a happy, thriving, local community.
Today our Mini Vinnies hosted an assembly to explain what it is like to be a Mini Vinnie & how we help others. We are accessing our rights & helping other children to do the same. I could not be prouder of each & everyone one of you ⭐️ Well done everyone ✨@CROinverclyde pic.twitter.com/7meEI68cXZ
