In S1 you will develop a wide range of skills both in the workshop and classroom. Your time will be spent working with woods, metals and plastics making numerous models.

By the end of S1 one you will feel confident when marking out, cutting and finishing these materials setting you up for S2 and beyond. You will also develop a wide range of graphics skills both manual and with aid of computers.

You will develop your literacy skills by taking part in ‘Challenge 50’ – a project that will help you remember some of the important vocabulary that we use in D&T. Click here to test your knowledge
