What’s the difference between Numeracy and Maths?
Numeracy is the set of mathematical skills that you might use in everyday life. Crucially, it also includes the ability to relate those skills to real life.
Mathematics is more broad and sometimes more theoretical.

To ensure consistency across the Maths Department and wider school, we have worked closely with colleagues at both Primary and Secondary level to consider common methods that will support young people’s learning. As a cluster we have developed the following numeracy resource which shows the methods that will be taught.
