We understand that starting nursery can be a worrying and anxious time for children and parents. Therefore, Rainbow Family Centre has created a settling-in procedure which aims to make the transition from home to nursery as smooth, and stress-free, as possible.

The Settling-In Process

On their first day, children will attend for 1 hour. For many children, this is often their first time, away from their parents or close family, in an unfamiliar environment.

Following, the first day, we will gradually increase the time that your  spends at nursery until they are happy and settled enough to attend for their full session.

Please be aware that the settling-in process will vary for each child. Our staff are highly experienced and will work in partnership with parents to ensure that each child is supported and that the settling-in process is individual to their needs.
