Barefoot Computing: Programming Workshop – Introduction to Scratch – OPEN TO ALL UK TEACHERS

  • August 31, 2025

Event Details

This workshop provides the perfect introduction to programming in the Scratch environment through a series of code reading and writing activities (all with a camel theme!).

It highlights the application of computational thinking skills in programming and introduces the concepts of sequence, repetition and selection through a series of interactive activities.

This workshop is best placed for beginner to intermediate Scratch users and we recommend you complete our Computational Thinking workshop first, unless you are already familiar with computational thinking concepts and approaches.

You will need to create a free Scratch account before joining this workshop.

Our Programming Workshops are all hosted online through either Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Google Meet. Workshops typically last 60-75 minutes – with plenty of time to ask questions.

Take a look at the available sessions and book your place above. You will then be sent an email with next steps and joining instructions.

If you have a bespoke workshop request, please contact us at enquiries@barefootcomputing.org.
