Why I want to be a Primary Teacher?

There is a few reasons why I wanted to be a Primary Teacher, the main reason is because I know I can do a better job than my previous teacher. She was the worst she never challenged or pushed people to be better, in addition to that she never praised people who were trying hard. I was in Primary 3 so my memory may be blurred but the drive for me to do better than her has stayed in me since.

As I got older the idea of becoming a teacher to be better than her faded and becoming a teacher to help impact lives grew stronger. I want to be able to help people to better themselves and set them up for the future and help them become productive members off society.

After, my work experience it confirmed that I wanted to be a teacher.

  1. An interesting and honest perspective! I think what your experience shows is that our behaviour as teachers has impact. This impact can be positive and not so positive. Your experience must have been something to embed such a feeling in you at an early age.
