Up-Cycling

To support our UNCRC Article 27 – I have the right to have a proper home, food and clothing and our ECO journey, this month the children have taken part in an up-cycling activity where they have redesigned an item of clothing from their home.

This experience gives the children a better awareness and understanding of issue’s within our environment and ways in which they can help the environment and live a more sustainable lifestyle.

Fabulous designs from all!

Beat the Street

🟢🚶🏻‍♂️‍➡️Beat the Street🚶🏻‍♀️🟢

We took part in North Ayrshire’s Beat the Street back in May. We were lucky enough to win some amazing vouchers after coming 1st on the total points leaderboard with 51,640 points and 3rd on the average points leaderboard ⭐️

Over the last week we have been consulting with the children on how to spend our vouchers for Decathlon & Scotia Books. Using the iPads to look at the websites and creating a mind map, lots of the children were able to have their say on what they thought we should buy. We are excited to be ordering new bike helmets, footballs and goals from Decathlon ⚽️🚴🏻‍♀️ The children also chose their favourite ‘Orchard Toys’ games from Scotia Books and these have been ordered as well ❤️

A big thank you once again to everyone that took part and joined in with ‘Beat the Street’ to allow us to win these fabulous vouchers! You can also see our winning certificates and trophy displayed in the cabinet within the corridor 🏆
