Within Largs Early Years Centre we embed numeracy into everyday practices in meaningful contexts, where we use numeracy for a purpose. Shirley-Anne was involved in producing the Early Years Numeracy Framework for North Ayrshire Council when it was first launched in 2015.  This document splits numeracy into 3 main parts which are all important aspects and these are outlined within the videos below.

There are many ways to make numeracy fun and exciting for children and each year we run a numeracy workshop for our parents where our numeracy co-ordinators share fun ideas, top tips and reinforce how these all link to the framework we use in practice.
