To ensure everyone has a common understanding of wellbeing, the Scottish Government introduced eight indicators, often referred to by their initial letters, SHANARRI (Safe, Healthy, Achieving, Nurtured, Active, Respected, Responsible and Included). For children to reach their full potential they should have opportunities to become successful learners, confident individuals, effective contributors and responsible citizens and supporting each wellbeing indicator will help make this happen.
