The Early Years RIC Sub Group met last week to discuss and evaluate the event “It’s a Good Time to be Two” which took place on 12th Feb for staff who work with two year old children across the RIC.
The feedback from attendees has been extremely positive especially in giving people the opportunity to network and share across the four authorities. There was a request for more training on Improvement Methodology. The feedback will be analysed in further detail and a plan for the way forward will be created.
Our Reading Culture network met today for the third of our professional network events. Our focus was on the model for improvement, sharing our test of change plans and progress to date and time to reflect with colleagues on the network so far. We were joined by Jen Harwood from the Scottish Booktrust who was able to share a national perspective and join us for our discussions
In line with the 2018 National Improvement Framework, a basket of measures will be used to assess progress of RIC priorities. This will provide a comprehensive and consistent approach with key performance indicators being tracked across the Forth Valley and West Lothian Improvement Collaborative in relation to the four key strategic priorities of the NIF.
In addition to the Measurement Plan, the Performance Team will consider key performance indicators from each Local Authority and establish a common set for the RIC to better inform areas for development.
