Although it is important to identify where we are now, it is not enough to stop there. We need to reflect upon how we can develop the skills where we are less confident and how we can transfer the skills in which we are confident and competent.

Activity 2

Complete the audit below, using the information from the table above.

Recognition Reflection Action
Skills already developed How will I use these How do I know (evidence)**
Managing time  To make sure time is used equally on each module. Also it will help me to plan enough time to do work and also relax.  I know this as when I studied my a levels I kept so many hours where I had to work so if something came up I would have to say I was busy. This was to make sure I had completed enough work.
 Organisation
To make sure that I am prepared for my lectures and when teaching, making sure my lessons are planned and ready to be delivered.
When working with the Brownies group we would plan a night and if I had something to do that night then I would have to have the activities ready. Otherwise the night wouldn’t run successfully. I had to be organised otherwise I would be letting down the other leaders to.
Teamwork  To make sure everyone is involved in decisions and also to share ideas with others.  I completed my Duke of Edinburgh and there we had to make sure everyone was involved in reading the map, doing questionnaires and taking pictures. We also had to check that everyone was feeling ok and everyone was walking as a team.
Work under pressure  Be given a certain amount of time to have work completed by.
Debate formally and informally  Be able to see both sides of an argument and debate with which I agree more with.
Evaluate information  When seeing the information that has been provided be able to draw conclusions from this.

** This section should be completed as you identify when/where/how you have used/developed these skills.
