Queens Park Trip

Our Girls football club had the chance last week to go to Hampden Park Stadium the home of Scottish football and Queens Park FC to meet a ex professional woman’s Scotland international football Suzanne Winters and have a tour of the stadium and a woman’s football history tour of the Scottish football Musemu. Thanks to Queens Park FC for Setting it up for our Girls.

They had a great tour getting to see the Bus tunnel, changing rooms, warm up area, the tunnel and pitch side to see where the teams sit, before lifting the Scottish (Cardboard) Cup.

We had a Q&A with Suzanne Winters an Ex Scotland Player with 105 Caps and got to ask all the important questions Like Ronaldo or Messi and how many goals did you score in one game.

The girls got some great incite into how to be a good professional and what struggles that She faced when she was younger.

A great day was had by all and a big thank you to Queens Park FC, Scotland and Suzanne Winters for having us along for the day. It was great Fun.

House Basketball

Our P6’s and P7’s recently took part in a school house basketball round robin tournament Organised by our Sports Captains.

Will basketball being a very popular sport in the school we had 2 teams for both house playing in the matches.

After the very competitive games on Monday morning the final match would decided the winner of 20 house points for being first place.

Water House and Earth House put on a show with Earth Scoring 3 points early on. Earth wasn’t able to hold on though and Water came back with 5 point in the second half to win and take the house points.

The final leader board was

1st Water = 20 House Points

2nd Earth = 15 House Points

=3rd – Wind and Fire = 10 House Points
