We have had a fantastic week in Primary 3!
In Literacy, we learned about how to be a good sport and discussed the importance of being kind, respectful and encouraging when taking part in games and activities. We then completed a comprehension task to show our understanding. Later in the week, we used our imaginations to write about inventing a brand-new LEGO-themed park in Glasgow. We came up with lots of creative ideas for rides, attractions and exciting experiences for visitors.
We also continued learning about the bird that has been visiting our playground. We explored how it will grow and change from a young bird into an adult. Using what we learned, we started writing an explanation text to describe the different stages of its life cycle.
In Numeracy, we focused on compass points. We learned about north, east, south and west and practised moving around a compass using directions. We also worked on multiplication and used our squared jotters to help us organise our calculations and find the correct answers.
We enjoyed a visit to the playroom this week, where we had lots of fun playing and learning together. We also attended assembly, where four girls from our class gave a wonderful presentation revealing the gender of the bird in our playground. They spoke confidently and did a fantastic job sharing the exciting news with everyone.
It has been a great week in Primary 3, and we are looking forward to more learning and fun next week!
