Apparel Xchange
Apparel Xchange is a social enterprise which tries to kit children out in an affordable uniform by reusing and recycling uniforms. They receive used uniforms from schools lost property and from parents. They check, wash and sell these garments at a small cost. The enterprise is trying to make children aware of the supply chain, their massive duty to preserve the planet, learn how to wash their clothes, put labels on them and hopefully with this knowledge make better choices. The enterprise has a Pop-up shop in the southside of Glasgow. For your information, attached is a flyer about the forthcoming Pop-up shop sale days.

School Catchment Area Consultation
Glasgow are launching two public consultations
- to amend secondary school entry criteria and
- placing request criteria for mainstream schools.
a)Â Â Â Â Â Secondary School Entry CriteriaÂ
The purpose of this consultation is to align the entry criteria across all 30 Glasgow city council mainstream secondary schools by making all 30 delineated secondary schools, i.e. the single entry criterion for all secondary schools being a defined geographical catchment area.Â
b)Â Â Â Â Placing Request Criteria for Mainstream SchoolsÂ
The purpose of this consultation is to review and improve the placing request criteria for mainstream schools (primary and secondary).Â
Both consultations will run until 24 September 2018 with six public meetings arranged.Â

Notre Dame Careers Conference, 15th February 2018
All S4 and S5 pupils, parents and carers are invited along to our Careers Conference on Thursday 15th February, 6.00pm-7.30pm in the school. There will be a short presentation in the assembly hall from Skills Development Scotland, followed by a chance to discuss a variety of career pathways with representatives from a wide range of colleges, universities, employers and training providers.
Respect Me – Anti-Bullying Week November 2017
Respect is at the heart of all healthy relationships. Our S1 pupils have joined us from over 50 Glasgow Primary Schools and beyond. We value all our young people and want them to feel part of our community.  Making new friends and maintaining existing friendships is a huge part of school life.  We have a programme of support to help young people to develop key social skills that will enable them to enjoy healthy and long lasting friendships. Over the last month, our S1 pupils have benefited from a number of Health and Wellbeing sessions highlighting the difference between positive and negative behaviour within relationships and strategies on how to cope with bullying behaviour.  Takeaway Theatre Company and Police Scotland delivered interactive workshops and presentations which also included valuable online safety and cyberbullying education. Mrs Henderson, DHT Pupil Support introduced Anti-bullying Week to S1 and S2 with assembly workshops called ‘Respect Means’, pupils had their photos taken as part of a national conversation about what respect means to young people.  Our Pastoral Care Team will deliver follow up PSSE lessons called ‘Responding to Bullying’ and feedback from pupils will be analysed and shared with staff, parents and pupils. The Open Evening takes place on Thursday 7th September 2017 at 6.45pm. We would be delighted if you could join us.
P7/S1 Visit – Monday 15th, Tuesday 16th, Wednesday 17th
All pupils joining S1 in August 2017 should report to the school from 8.30am onwards. Mrs Henderson (DHT) is the main point of contact during the visit.

New Timetable 17/18 – Starts Tuesday 2nd May

P7 into S1 – Important Information
Parents/Carers of pupils who wish to join our new S1 cohort on placing request should now have received letters in the post. Now that we have permission to do so, we will send our own correspondence out tomorrow. The letter we will send to you provides details of our P7Â transition days which take place on Monday 15th, Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th May.
If you submitted a placing request after the local authority deadline, it is unlikely that you will receive a letter from Glasgow City Council before Monday of next week at the earliest.
Should you have any queries or concerns about your daughters place in S1 then please contact us using the form on the Contact Us page of this website.
P7 into S1 Enrolment
Parents/Carers of P7 girls should receive confirmation of placing requests for S1 in the coming weeks. We will contact parents/carers by post as soon as we are given permission to do so. We do not anticipate that Glasgow City Council will issue letters of confirmation any earlier than Friday 21st April 2017. We will also begin the process of liaising with your daughter’s primary school after the Easter break.
Our three day transition visit takes place on Monday 15th, Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th May.
Fully Funded Student Places – The Wilderness Foundation
We are now accepting applications for our May and June 2017 Imbewu programme, this is a fully funded programme and particularly suited to students aged 14 – 17 years, with an interest In a career in the outdoors or rural sector. Senior Phase Options Conference
Pupils, parents and carers are invited to attend our annual Senior Phase Options Conference on Thursday 2nd March from 6.00pm until 7.30pm. Representatives of universities, colleges and apprenticeship schemes will be in attendance.
Placing Request Application Form
We continue to enrol a large number of girls through the placing request system. In response to feedback from parents/carers we will continue to store a copy of the placing request form on our school website. The image shown below is a direct link to the form that parents or carers must send to Glasgow City Council if they wish to submit a placing request.
