WE Day is a celebration of young people making a difference in their local and global communities. WE Schools is a year-long programme that nurtures compassion in young people and gives them the tools to create transformational social change. Together they offer young people the tools and the inspiration to take social action, empower others and transform lives—including their own. Our wonderful children have earned their tickets to this year’s WE Day for all of their hard work and dedication within Learning for Sustainability. WE Day takes place on Wednesday the 6th of March 2019 at the SSE Arena in Wembley, London.
We are very much looking forward to this amazing trip and are confident that it will be a memorable experience for everyone attending. Some of our lucky pupils from our Eco Committee will be travelling down to London with their parent/carer and Miss Davidson our Depute Head Teacher and Learning for Sustainability Coordinator to represent our school and Glasgow City Council at this year’s WE Day. Tickets for WE Day cannot be purchased and have to be earned. We are very proud of our school community at Hillington Primary who have worked together to earn these tickets. We will also be live streaming the event in school for our Primary 4-7s’s to see.
