Primary 3 have had a fantastic first day at Health Week. We have been learning how to play table tennis. We had great fun. We also joined up with children across the world to speak out for the 37 million children missing out on school in crisis affected countries by taking part in this years ‘Send My Friend to School’ campaign. Today, at Balornock Primary School, we took part in a Childline Workshop. We discussed all the different reasons for contacting Childline and examined the weight of carrying all of these worries around together on our own. We realised that we can share these worrries with many different people we trust and this will help to ease the load, allowing us to be more content and happy.
Primary 4 are very aware that every child has rights. One of these rights is to know what’s happening in the news. Everyday we have been watching Newsround and discussing major events taking place around the world. The children are finding this a very exciting way to gain new knowledge about their environment.
