Friday fire-pits, โ€œnature bathingโ€ and foraging! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒฟ

Mr McCormack and Hector having a jam sesh on the samba drums at playtime!

In the morning, we went for a foraging hunt to search for different types of leaves so that we could match them using the online Tree ID activity on Woodlands Trustโ€™s website.

FUN FRIDAAAAAAAAAY – who will the lucky winner be for this weekโ€™s Gold ๐ŸŒŸ?
Kayden earned a well-deserved certificate for his efforts during Outdoor Learning Week, and his stamina with nature-based activities! Good for you Kayden ๐Ÿฅ‡
Mrs B and Baby B came into the school to visit! It was lovely to see them both looking so well and happy! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

We went to our Eco Garden to do some meditation and yoga in the sunshine. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We were able to do sun salutations when the sun peeked itโ€™s head out! ๐ŸŒžโ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿพ๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿฟโ€โ™‚๏ธ

On Friday afternoon, we had a campfire outside. We made sโ€™mores, toasted delicious bananas with flakes on the inside on the campfire grill, and boiled water for hot choc in the stove above. Everyone had a turn of trying to light the fire using a steel and flint tool, and we discussed our highlights of the first week Outdoors,

Hereโ€™s Hector safely extinguishing the fire with the fire safety gloves and a tank of water. ๐Ÿงฏ

After the campfire, Kayden started us off with some post-fire entertainment. We had a dance off and it was pretty funny! Mr McCormackโ€™s auld knees just couldnโ€™t hack it! Haha! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜˜

Hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday and enjoying the unexpected sunny afternoon!
