Class Information

Hello Class 2 and Parents,

Here’s a few pieces of information that you may find useful for Term Two:

In Class 2, our teacher is Miss Cohen and our Support for Learning teachers are Mrs Crosbie and Mrs Bennett.

On a Friday, Mrs McCafferty teaches us all day.

Communication;

  • Home/School paper diaries have changed to being accessed electronically. I have emailed you the diary link directly with a QR code for you to scan. Click to access your child’s diary with comments from class teacher.  To log-in use the username provided – the password is your child’s date of birth.  You will then be able to read the diary and leave a comment.
  • Weekly Homework will be posted on Microsoft Teams at the beginning of the week. Because we cannot send home paper sheets/activities, I will post tasks/suggested home learning activities and look forward to receiving pupils’ responses to these via email; gw17cohennadine@glow.ea.glasgow.sch.uk, on the news feed of Microsoft Teams or in pupils’ individual folders.

Timetable;

  • School starts at 9.00 and ends at 3.00. Playtime is from 10.30-10.45, lunch is from 12.00-12.30 and our afternoon play is from 1.45-2.00.
  • We enter and exit through the gate at the top of the school (beside the Eco garden) every day, unless we have a younger sibling.  In this case, we enter and exit via their gate.
  • P.E. will be on a Monday afternoon, 12:45 – 13:45.
  • Where appropriate, Class 2 will take advantage of being outdoors to enhance our learning experiences. Please ensure your child comes to school with a waterproof jacket, trousers and appropriate footwear. These are available from the school office. Please bring wellies to school if you have them too.  Indoor shoes can be kept in school.

Any other business;

  • The water fountains are out of use at the moment due to Covid-19 restrictions so please ensure your child brings their water bottle to school filled for the day ahead.
  • I’m aware that some of you regularly send photographs of your weekend activities which are then used in class as a visual prompt when Class 2 discuss their ‘Weekend News’ at our Morning check-in. Please feel free to email me with these pictures!
Thank you!
Miss Cohen
