MATHS:
This week, let’s focus on our timetables!
Today let’s do the 2 times table. Listen and join in with Jack Hartmann then try answering some of the questions in the booklet.
Yesterday I spent most of the day in the garden and it was lovely. I also managed to get the grass cut and a washing out to dry.
There’s a before and after. It always feels good to get the grass cut and a washing out!
Shahmir and Shanzay have been outside LOTS and it’s great! They looked like they had so much fun planting and taking care of their garden! Their Mum also sent me a video of all the fantastic work they have been doing this week.
Rida picked her favourite book and read along with Miss Kinloch. I wonder if you could find a YouTube Video of your favourite book (the way we have in class) and read along with it?
LITERACY:
I am very excited about this!! As the boys and girls of Primary 2 know, my two favourite things in the world are Harry Potter and Christmas.
This news makes it feel like Christmas has come early!
www.wizardingworld.com has tried to bring Harry Potter to everyones home at this time, and if you haven’t read the books, I recommend this as a great time to start.
Below is a link to both a video and Spotify version of Daniel Radcliffe reading Chapter 1 of Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone.
GOOD MORNING! The sun is shining and I am going to go outside and cut the grass today!
Hopefully you get outside and enjoy some fresh air.
Here is what your friends have been doing:
Rida made some yummy looking Pakora with her mum. They even shared the recipe with me and I made my own! Thank you again for that fantastic recipe!!
Shahmir and his family made use of their exercise time and walked through the park. I wonder if anyone could guess the park? They then settled down with a story and some food.
Abdullah has still been working hard and he must have gotten that lego as a big treat!
SCHOOL ASSEMBLY
SOOOOO! We have another surprise within this weeks assembly! 2 weeks in a row, Primary 2 definitely are the best class EVER!!!
MATHS:
Try this place value worksheet, you can write the answers into your jotter. You don’t have to print off the sheet.
I spent most of the day yesterday lying on the couch watching TV, just not wanting to move, and I really enjoyed it! Today I am going to try and do some exercise to help clear my brain from yesterdays chill.
I try not to push myself too hard to do things I don’t want to because I want to make sure I am still happy and my mental health is strong. However I do push myself to try and exercise to keep my mind and body healthy.
I love to do these types of exercising:
You can also do the daily PE with Joe!
I also like to do some Yoga at home to relax my body.
You can also do lots of 10 minutes practices on YouTube as well!
Cosmic Kids Yoga is also fantastic for some fun yoga.
Remember it is ok to have days where you do NOTHING! This is a time to look after YOU as well as everyone else.
Here is what some of your friends were doing yesterday:
Abdullah has been working hard on different pages of the Home Learning pack! Well Done Abdullah.
Issa sent a check in to show he is enjoying the Home Learning packs. I hope you are all enjoying them.
Inayah and her sister made some yummy looking doughnuts! I’m very jealous! She then relaxed and drew this beautiful flower.
Rida got a new art set. WOW! That looks amazing!
Ajwa has made another video to update us on how she is getting on!
Miss Bull wanted to say a big thank you for her lovely video. If you haven’t seen the video, check out yesterdays blog! 🙂

MATHS AND HWB:
Let’s focus on the seasons.
Watch this video to see if you can spot the seasons throughout.
Four Seasons Tree – Try giving this worksheet a go and see if you can design the trees showing what they would look like in each season.
What season are we in just now? Mr Corrigan is here to help you out!
Now you could try make your own nature scrapbook as a good way to document all the learning you have been doing.
You can even try make your own flower to put into your scrapbook.
LITERACY:
Did you manage to see the fun video we put together for Miss Bull? I wonder if you could choose your favourite book and re-write a part of it.
Good morning! It’s Friday and let’s celebrate that we got through another week!
Remember if you miss a blog, you can scroll down and catch up on ones missed. A blog is posted everyday from Monday to Friday.
Here are some pictures of what your class mates were doing yesterday:
Aleena and her sister were making yummy pizza! That looks great girls!
Some more crafting from Shahmir and Shanzy!
Rida was still be completing lots of fun tasks.
TASK 1:
As it’s Friday and we would normally do the blog together, why don’t you make a blog (can be in your jotter or scrapbook) of things you have done this week with your family? I would love to see the results! 📸
TASK 2:
Try and relax after a long hard week! You can use this fun video to read by yourself or with an adult.
READING AND COMPREHENSION:
Lots of questions today! But you don’t have to do them all at the same time. You could try do them over the weekend as well. 🙂
Who wrote this book?
How was Stanley flattened?
How tall was Stanley? How wide was Stanley? How thick was Stanley?
Where did Stanley go on holiday, and what did he take in his envelope?
How long was Stanley Stuck in the tree? Can you show how long that is on a clock?
