Wow, first full week complete already! We have had a very busy week in Class 2 starting to get into our routine. We have been doing some assessments to see what we remember from last year and what things we still need to learn.
Some of our learning this week has been –
- TU addition and subtraction sums (using counters, number lines and mental maths strategies)
- doubles add sums
- counting in patterns
- reading and comprehension work with our new reading books
- revising phonics sounds
- creating some leaf and bark rubbings
- discussing our feelings and behaviours
- some team building games in P.E with P6/7
- setting targets for the term
Today we had a party in class to celebrate Hector’s birthday which was earlier in the week. We had some delicious party food chosen by the birthday boy and played some games in class – a lovely end to a very busy week.
Miss Hewitt is super proud of how well everyone has settled in and how hard everyone has been working already.
