Good morning everyone,
Today marks my final day of work before I go off to prepare for the arrival of Baby Creevy. As much as this is very exciting, I’ve never wished more that we were all together celebrating in some way.
Over the next wee while, think of me as I’ll think of you and rest assured as soon as you are all back together and it is safe to do so I’ll be in to see you!
In the meantime, whilst spending time at home, it’s very important you work hard to help your parents keep the house clean and tidy.
Here are some challenges for you for over the weekend should you choose to accept.
9am
Gym lesson online with Joe Wicks LIVE https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAxW1XT0iEJo0TYlRfn6rYQ
9:30-10:00: Literacy
You can download the editable worksheet below and print at home to practice writing your own name. This is something we do regularly in school, it will be good to keep it up at home.
Click on your name below to download your sheet.
If you’d rather not print the sheet you can do it in your lined jotter.
10:30-11:15: Break Time
11:15-12:15: Maths
The best way for you to keep practising the right maths for you is through SumDog: https://www.sumdog.com/user/sign_in?to=%2Femails
Your log in is in your home learning pack. Please spend today getting online on SumDog and looking at all the lessons you can do there.
12:15-1pm: Lunch
1-1.30 pm: Fine Motor Skills
One of the really important aspects of our daily school life is play. These play based experiences help us make sense of the world around us and also assist in our development of fine and gross motor skills which impacts on our cognitive activity and even our pencil grip etc.
I have attached a suggested activity you could try at home to help develop these skills.
Use straws, sticks or lollipop sticks to create some of the suggested shapes below.
1.30-2.30pm: Cooking
Watch along with my slow cooker bread baking experiment… could you try this or something similar at home?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olRyB4efViY
I can’t believe it worked so well only using four ingredients!
2-2:30pm: Break Time
2:30-3pm: Story and chat
At the end of each day, we will send you stories to listen to/read. Some of these will be read by your lovely St. Albert’s teachers, others might be by famous authors. To get ready for the story:
- Get a snack and a drink
- Get somewhere comfy – on cushions/sofa/bed, under a blanket
- Get one of your parents or a brother/sister to listen with you
Today I’m going to link all the stories I’ve posted on the youtube channel, this mean’s they’re all in one place for you if you ever fancy hearing a familiar and favourite book… mine is Yoga Babies. Lots of Love! Namaste!
