Happy New Year P7s and families!

Another term, another newsletter. Here is some key information about the things that will be happening this term.

There will be more dates for the diary, especially regarding QAHS transition events, as the term progresses. Please look out for further updates.

Useful information

    • iPads – ipads should be charged at home and brought to school daily.
    • Reading – In line with our new guided reading approach, children will keep reading folders and records in class, however they will have a choice of reading books to take home and enjoy with family.
    • PE days – Please wear gym kit on a Wednesday (More information about uniform expectations is on the school website).
    • Outdoor learning days – Our outdoor learning day is a Friday (9am-10.40am). Please support your children to dress appropriately for the weather, at this time of year waterproofs and suitable footwear are essential. Outdoor learning clothes may get muddy or wet. If you are able to be a supporting adult at the woods, please get in touch.
    • Home Learning – In the first part of this term home learning will be to learn and perform a poem in Scots. In the second part of the term, children will be working on a personal project to share in class. More details will follow shortly. Paper copies of homework tasks will be handed to children in class. Digital copies of homework tasks are always available in teams and on the school website.
    • Water bottles are encouraged to stay hydrated during the day. They should contain water only, no juice thank you.
    • Mr Holmes strings lessons are on TUESDAY afternoon.
    • Mrs Patterson will lead the learning on a TUESDAY morning.

      • Thu 5 Mar – Fischy Cluster concert
      • Thu 12 Mar – Open Doors, 09:10-09:50;
      • Wed 18 Mar – Parents evening 1
      • Mon 30 Mar – Mandarin Immersion Day at Confucius Classroom, Culross Primary
      • Tue 31 Mar – Parents evening 2
      • Thu 2 Apr – End of term church service at Tulliallan Kirk 09:30
