Primary 7 – Ms Helfer

Hello P7s and families!

It was lovely to meet so many of you at parents’ evening. I hope you all had a relaxing October break.

Primary 7 are ready to get stuck into new and exciting learning this term! Here is some key information about what is coming up. Please do take a note of the key dates and add them to your calendar – I have tried to get as many key dates as possible here for you.

Useful information

• Reading days – Please ensure children bring reading books and reading records daily. Reading homework will be given on a Wednesday for the following Monday. Your child may read with you or independently but please do sign their reading record when reading is completed.
• PE days – Please wear gym kit on a Wednesday (More information about uniform expectations is on the school website).
• Outdoor learning days – Our outdoor learning day is a Friday (9am-10.40am). Please support your children to dress appropriately for the weather, at this time of year waterproofs and suitable footwear are essential. Outdoor learning clothes may get muddy or wet. We always need adult helpers, please let Ms Helfer know if you are able to join us.
• Home Learning – This term children will be working on a presentation to share in class. More details will follow shortly.
• Water bottles are encouraged to stay hydrated during the day. They should contain water only, no juice thank you.
• Strings lessons with Mr Holmes are on TUESDAY afternoon.
• Mrs Patterson will lead the learning on a TUESDAY morning.
