Welcome to Our School

Welcome to Tulliallan website, we hope you enjoy reading this.

Success, Honesty, Inclusion, Nurture and Equity.  These are our school values and Tulliallan is a place where everyone can SHINE!

The school is situated in the small but peaceful village of Kincardine. In the grounds of the school we have various legacy items that link to the history of the school but also to the local community.

The outdoor area of the school is well established with a wealth of benches, games and musical equipment to keep the children entertained. A fantastic outdoor area for the nursery was also created and funded through the community and the school, working together. We have a new wildlife garden created by Euan, Jade, parents, staff and our gardening committee.

At Tulliallan we are always striving to improve and be the best we can. Tulliallan is a place to shine! SHINE stands for Succes Honesty Inclusion Nurture and Equity. We are also working on improving our digital skills and improving our leadership skills as well as learning about our rights.

In Tulliallan we have a wealth of clubs and committees. We also have committees like Tasty Treats and Eco Committee, Digital Leaders, Reading Committee and Rights Respecting Schools.

The reference to a Tulliallan school is made in the session records of Tulliallan church in 1694 telling us that the said school was established on lands formerly possessed by the family of Black adder of Tulliallan.

The present school however opened in this modern building at easter 1975. The cannons on the doorstep were gifted to the school by the people of Kincardine. They are thought to be from Blackadder’s fortalice, the old Tulliallan castle and so preserve a link with the past.

Tulliallan is celebrating its 50th birthday this year and we will be celebrating this on the 26th of September with different activities on the day. We will be having a jubilee to celebrate. The classes have been given different years to work on as well as different areas of the playground to update as part of our legacy.

The school is fortunate to have an active family council which ably supports school life. Thank you for reading and learning about our school.
