Our current fundraising target is ambitious, however achievable over time. We hope to raise approximately £10,000 to provide new and much needed IT netbooks in order to enhance our pupils’ learning experiences. At the moment our funds are sitting at £2356.67. We have a long way to go but together we believe we will reach our target.
If you have any ideas on how we can build on this fund please come along to one of our Parent Partnership meetings. We would love to hear from you.
Parent Councils help parents and carers to become more actively and effectively involved in their children’s learning. They were established under the Scottish Schools (Parental Involvement) Act 2006 in recognition of the important role that parents can play, both in their own children’s learning, and in the life of a school. The Act gives each school’s Parent Forum the right to set up a Parent Council. More information can be found on the Parents’ page of the Scottish Government website at www.scotland.gov.uk/parents
