We have 4 Additional Support Classes which sit alongside our 9 mainstream classes at Rimbleton Primary School.
Currently we have 40 pupils of mixed abilities from P1-7 in mixed age classes. Each class has a class teacher and 2 or more Pupil Support Assistants. Staff work together as a team to support all the children in our care.
Some children come to us full time and some of our pupils come to us on split placements with their mainstream school.
Our classrooms are secure with most classrooms requiring key fobs to enter or exit.
We have an outdoor hard standing play area and a sensory garden which are also both secure spaces.
All of our pupils have Individual Learning Plans. They all work at their own level and planning is done by the teacher in collaboration with their team, split placement schools and any outside agencies if appropriate.
It is really important to us that we share your child’s learning with you. We use an online communication platform called Seesaw. This allows us to share daily photographs and videos of what your child is learning. Seesaw also allows two way communication so you can message your child’s class teacher with any questions or information.
