This week we have been writing Kennings poems. We used our knowledge of nouns, adjectives and verbs to write them. We typed them up on Word or PowerPoint and added an image. We shared them with the class and got the guess what they were about from the clues.

In Numeracy, the P3s have been learning numbers beyond 1000 and sequencing them in 1s, 10s and 100s. The P4s have been practising using column addition and subtraction and using the inverse to check if their answers are correct.

In Heath and Wellbeing, we have been learning how to help someone who is choking or bleeding. We learnt what we should do and in what sequence. We learnt somethings not to do as well. The P3s also learnt about the importance of keeping clean and what we can use to be clean.

In Social Studies, we found out about some different types of housing and who might live in them!

In PE, some of us had a go at bowling and batting in cricket. It was quite hot so some children read in the shade. We also played bench ball.

In Loose Parts, we created the Wilderness from our class novel and played in the dens. We are nearly at the end of our book and it is getting exciting to find our what is going to happen.

In French, we played cafés! We pretended to be a customer and a waiter and order food. We also learnt how to pay for the bill. We have learnt some of the names for food and drink you might have in a café.

We have been keeping track of the World Cup matches using our Wall Planner. We were disappointed that Scotland didn’t do better against Brazil but we are still quite hopeful that we might get through to the Round of 32.
