Block Two (January – April 2026)

Welcome Back!

We hope you had a restful and enjoyable break! Welcome back to an exciting term filled with lots of learning! This term, our topic is the Titanic, and we have a variety of engaging activities planned across different subjects.

• Maths Focus: We will be exploring weight, length, area, and volume, while continuing to consolidate the four operations and develop correct mathematical vocabulary.

 

• Literacy: Students will continue writing to our pen pals, enhancing their communication skills. We will also focus on reading comprehension and creative writing to strengthen literacy outcomes.

 

• Topic- Titanic: The topic on the Titanic will incorporate elements of social studies, science, drama, Maths, Literacy and expressive arts to provide a well-rounded learning experience.

 

• Burns Poems: Poems will be sent home this week for students to learn, and they will also be posted on Seesaw for your reference.

 

• PE: Our focus will be on Scottish country dancing, promoting physical activity and cultural appreciation. We may even compare to other countries expressive dancing.

 

• Health and Wellbeing (HWB): Dates for Relationships, Sexual Health, and Parenthood (RSHP) lessons will be shared soon, along with links for your information.
