WRITING:

We are working on making our creative writing more interesting by uplevelling our vocabulary, using interesting connectives and openers and including figurative language.

READING:

We can select a range of different of different texts which we enjoy and find interesting and can explain why we prefer certain texts and authors.

LISTENING & TALKING:

We can begin to differentiate between fact and opinion in a text we have listened to or read.

NUMERACY:

We will focus on the relationship between multiplication and division and learn a number of different strategies to calculate both mentally and through a variety of written methods.

MATHEMATICS:

We will explore the properties of 2D shapes and 3D objects through written work and real-life exploration. We will be able to sort these according to different criteria.

We can illustrate the lines of symmetry for a range of 2D shapes and apply our understanding to create and complete symmetrical pictures and patterns.

P.E

We are looking to develop skills in travelling, jumping, balancing, rolling and sequencing in a gymnastics context.

Health:

We will be learning about Global Citizenship and Equality.

We will be looking at relationships and friendships and helping to develop strategies for coping with challenges.

Scotland through the Decades

We are going to be learning how healthcare, technology, education, housing, clothes, hairstyles, war and children’s rights have evolved through 1920 to the present day.

We will compare and contrast how our lives have changed and will use the context of art, music and drama to explore this.
